What I would like to have in Tbilisi, but there is not yet...

Just some ideas somebody could invest in...

A huge and reasonable DIY-Store, as most Georgian men like to work with their hands in their households (there is none yet)

A stable and fast Internet provider

A Car Part Component Supplier for most common German and Japanese brands with a regional center, not with a 3- weeks-delivery !!, but within 24 hours !

Cheap and good Supermarkets
with a good, fast and friendly service, like the German chains LIDL and ALDI (Lidl even has a DSL-Offer for EUR 9.99/month !, I did not check at Aldi, if they have an offer for this)

A supplier of Art materials like Boesner

and GOOGLE MAPS for the big cities (at least)

and last but not least for today: IKEA

I'll update new ideas from time to time, please feel free to comment

Update 1:

There is, as far as I know, no Pizza Home Delivery Service in Tbilisi...

I'm surprised Amazon doesn't deliver to Georgia, because it does deliver in Armenia - delivery time is something like 3 weeks, though. It's not fast, but it's there.

Google Maps is working for Tbilisi very well.

I don't know any other BIG city in Georgia ;)

For the Google Maps I want a Map view, to have the streets with the names as well. + Other big cities like Batumi, Rustavi, Kutaisi. Why not even Telavi, as to find a certain street in Televai may also be a big problem.

Hans i agree with you. I mean for Canada they have even some forgotten streets on map. which are not busy and no one want to not except one person who is living there :) I wish all streets and ways in Georgia to have on map! :) It"s not less beautiful than other countries and busy too, so why not to mark some streets and cities on the map?

Palati, 2 Kazbegi, in Saburtalo, is supposed to offer some furnishings from IKEA. There are hush hush plans afoot to bring IKEA to Tbilisi..stay tuned.

Home Pizza delivery - try Fantastico, in Vake:899 900 760 or 29 46 75

Batonebi delivers. Their new place on Paliashvili should open soon.

PxPost can get you anything, fast, but you have to pay a monthly fee, and pay by weight. So, shop lightly.

"Good, fast and friendly"? I would be surprised if the majority would describe the service in our German disconters that way... But I'm sure Lidl could also survive in Georgia and even succeed with their business strategies. They seem to have conquered most parts of Europe already. Let's see how they'll do in Switzerland...
