I think THIS is a very good synthesis of the images you used for the digital collage in "the horsethief in the narrow parts of old Tblisi". Very powerful.Better, stronger in painting than in photos. But in the painting he turnes into a rebel, maybe a warrior. This one dominates, conquers. He's not into petty theft of horses.

What do you think? Did he change personality?

Thank you writer'n, I read this with my morning coffee. The horse thief can turn into many different faces, the subject is very ambivalent. It is historic and present (still some many horses get stolen in Georgia today, of course often only the best examples) but the HT could also be a kind of ZORRO or Robin Hood. The subject for a painting or drawing is also endless interesting, because a horseman in light, time and space could be created a million times, always interesting. In opposite, it is very difficult, to make a interesting painting from f.e. a driver and/with car, as the form of a car is so boring in comp, to bodies of humans or horses.

The HT is an invention of myself, which makes it possible for me to paint, without the boring and dangerous feeling, that this was already to often said in art (if this is possible at all..)

There are very few "inventions" in art, but what counts is the individual visual understanding of a thing and its way of expression.
