Travel Georgia Caucasus Winter Steppe Shiraki

An Adventure Journey to the Steppe of Shiraki and to Lagodekhi Region in Eastern Georgia in January, February, March 2006

The journey to the Winter pastures of the Georgian herdsmen in the half desert of Shiraki in the Southeast of Georgia is a special trip for who loves pure and hard working life, the beauty of the steppe, cattle, horses and dogs. The Winter in the desert of Shiraki is very modest, few or no snow, with sunshine it might be warm, but the nights are cold. Shiraki and Kakheti are great places for horse riding. This is a trip of 1 week and includes a short round trip through Kakheti via the Desert Monastery David Gareji and one day to see the Georgian capitol Tbilisi.
